COPYRIGHT NOTICE

However, as indicated on our website pages, you may download, without permission, material from the American Nameday (or Name Day) Calendar of First Names for your own personal, non-commercial use only.

Regarding questions why the 1982 calendar pages show 1981 as the year of the copyright instead of 1982, please note that the 1982 calendar was actually first published on October 25, 1981, with the advertisement in the Los Angeles Times Home Magazine.

For those who are not familiar with the copyright law, below are excerpt from
the United States Copyright Office's Circular 3, pertaining to the "Copyright Notice":

[beginning of excerpt]
"Works first published before March 1, 1989, are subject to mandatory deposit if they were published in the United States with notice of copyright. In general, within 3 months of publication in the United States, the owner of copyright or of the exclusive right of publication must deposit two copies (or, in the case of sound recordings, two phonorecords) of the work in the Copyright Office ......"

[end of excerpt]

For the copyright and authenticity reasons we show on our website the copies of all the original pages of the 1982 calendar sent to the U.S. Copyright Office as required by law.
